The highly anticipated Pak-Iran gas pipeline project is once again being examined at the highest levels after Iran sent a last notice to Pakistan expressing worries about additional delays.
Iran, according to reports, has warned Pakistan that no further time will be given for the project’s completion and has voiced significant concerns to Pakistan on its ongoing postponement. They suggest that Iran could take the matter further by bringing the case before the International Court of Arbitration in September for failing to complete the project’s pipeline construction under the project’s extended 180-day deadline.
Pakistan is allegedly exploring ways to communicate and negotiate a settlement with Iran over the gas pipeline in reaction to the possible legal action.
