Iran’s Tehran According to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Israel has lost because Hamas and Hezbollah are still engaged in combat in Gaza and Lebanon.
He told a meeting of the Assembly of Experts, the highest religious authority, on Thursday that Israel wanted to remove Hamas but that “massacred people, showed its ugly face to the whole world, proved its malice, condemned and isolated itself.”
Ismail Haniyeh, the political head of Hamas, was assassinated in Tehran, Iran, on July 31. Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, was assassinated in Beirut in September.
According to Khamenei, Hezbollah has pushed Israel out of Lebanese territory in numerous instances over the past 40 years, notably from Tyre, Sidon, Beirut, and eventually from the majority of southern Lebanon.
