Ahead of the anticipated imposition of tariffs next month, Irish exports to the US have continued to soar.
In January, Ireland’s US products exports were about €12 billion (£10.1 billion), which was more than 80% greater than the same month in 2024.
That probably reflects businesses bringing products into the US before new tariffs are imposed, especially pharmaceuticals.
On April 2, US President Donald Trump has promised to enact a wide variety of tariffs.
