Judges, attorneys, and court employees will have a break during the hot summer months thanks to the announcement of the Islamabad High Court’s and its lower courts’ summer holiday schedules.
The chief justice has approved notifications that state the Islamabad High Court would observe its summer break from July 10 to September 10.
On the other hand, as per their announcement, the district courts East and West in Islamabad will begin their summer break a little later, on August 1. In the meanwhile, as stated in their statement, the subordinate courts will have a shorter vacation period, ending on August 31.
Both notices were validated by the Registrar Office of the Islamabad High Court, which emphasized that urgent and emergency cases will proceed during the vacation period.
This guarantees the uninterrupted operation of critical judicial activities during the designated vacation periods.
Additionally, during the holidays, urgent and emergency cases will still be heard.
The Lahore High Court had already declared summer vacation beginning on July 1. The list of summer vacations was signed by Shujaat Ali Khan, Acting Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.
