ISLAMABAD: In Phulgran’s Uthaal village, an Islamabad suburb, a police official was kidnapped by a gang of drug dealers on Wednesday.
According to police officials who spoke to news, the officers were fired at after they had gone into the neighborhood to deal with narcotics dealers. One police officer was held prisoner during the gunfight.
The incident also resulted in the injury of one individual.
A sizable police force was sent to the area to conduct a rescue mission after the event.
However, it was challenging for law enforcement to go into the area since locals reportedly opened fire on the police and resorted to stone-pelting. More police officers were dispatched from other stations throughout Islamabad in response.
