PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub, Asad Qaiser, Faisal Amin, and Zartaj Gul’s petitions for transit bail in relation to cases brought against them regarding the former ruling party’s power show in Islamabad on September 8 were approved by the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday.
After hearing the arguments, PHC Judge Shakeel Ahmed granted them bail until October 10.
Omar and Qaiser claimed in their plea that the Islamabad government had filed complaints against them and other party officials for calling off the gathering two hours later than planned.
The petitioners requested transit bail in this regard and stated that they wished to appear in the appropriate courts. They expressed fear of being arrested in the plea as well.
