Following a suspension due to recent PTI protests, the Metro Bus service in Islamabad, the federal capital, has now resumed.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, ordered the restoration of the Green, Blue, and Red Line bus services.
Apart from reinstating the primary Metro services, Randhawa has issued an order for the prompt deployment of electric buses on feeder routes to improve the city’s overall connectivity.
Thousands of passengers, especially those who depended on the Metro Bus for everyday transportation, experienced inconvenience as a result of the PTI’s earlier protests that resulted in a brief suspension of services.
On October 5, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s actions significantly disrupted regular life in Islamabad and Rawalpindi for the second day in a row.
