Private schools in Islamabad announced their winter break on Friday.
The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority announced that the holidays will start on December 21 and go through January 5.
On January 6, schools will resume their regular operations.
Colleges have also declared their winter breaks, and the Punjab School Education Department has updated the dates for the holidays.
Schools will now be closed starting on December 23 rather than December 20, according to a notification released by the department outlining the revised schedule.
