RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) claimed in a statement on Tuesday that security forces have successfully stopped a terrorist attack on PNS Siddique, a naval installation in Turbat city, Balochistan.
The military’s media wing further stated that the attack, which happened on the evening of March 25 and 26, was stopped by the forces’ prompt and efficient response, which guaranteed the protection and safety of people and property.
In the ensuing combined clearance operation, all four terrorists were killed thanks to the armed forces’ coordinated and efficient response, the statement said.
“Security forces in the vicinity were immediately mobilised to support the naval troops,” it continued.
Following the attack, Sepoy Noman Fareed, a 24-year-old Frontier Corps trooper, bravely battled the attackers and accepted martyrdom. The soldier who was killed was serving in Frontier Corps Balochistan and was a resident of Muzaffargarh.
The statement stated that Pakistan’s military forces are “committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country at all costs” and that a “sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.”
