We have met with a young brother and sister in Gaza who witnessed their parents being slain by Israeli troops and their crippled sibling being blinded in one eye by a grenade that was left embedded in his brain.
The injury he received in his home kitchen is only one aspect of this incident; a piece of the device went through his left eye and became stuck in his brain.
The event is only one of the countless tragedies that Gaza’s youth have to deal with.

As per the Ministry of Health in the area, almost 10,000 people have lost their lives. UNICEF statistics shows that at least 17,000 children have been abandoned or taken away from their families.
Numerous thousands more have suffered injuries or disfigurements, and every child is adjusting to a horrifying new world.
