The Taoiseach, or Irish prime minister, Simon Harris, has been labeled “antisemitic” by Israel’s foreign minister, further escalating the nation’s diplomatic relationship with the Republic of Ireland.
This follows Israel’s decision to shut down its Dublin mission.
In a statement, Gideon Saar referenced Ireland’s backing for actions against Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICJ), according to Irish station RTÉ.
“Last night Ireland’s antisemitic Prime Minister Simon Harris said in an interview ‘Ireland is not anti-Israel but Ireland is absolutely anti the starvation of children’,” Saar stated.
“Is Israel starving children?” he inquired. and continued by saying that his nation was trying to make it possible for aid to reach Gaza.
