Local medical professionals and rescuers report that Israeli air and ground raids killed around 50 civilians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday.
They claimed that among the dead were children, a TV network cameraman, and Civil Defense agency staff.
Sites utilized by Hamas and the affiliated militant group Palestinian Islamic Jihad were targeted, according to the Israeli military.
The deaths, according to the health ministry administered by Hamas, meant that more than 45,000 Palestinians had been killed in Gaza during the 14-month conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Although the ministry does not distinguish between combatants and civilians, it stated in October that 29,980 women, children, and senior citizens were among the casualties that were identified.
