ISLAMABAD According to reports, the federal government has chosen to launch a significant action against the former prime minister, which is expected to add another criminal case to Imran Khan’s legal troubles as the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to The News, the aforementioned complaint would be filed against the already-incarcerated politician under the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on allegations of instigating a revolt against the state and its institutions on social media and fostering an anti-state attitude.
Following an investigation into the PTI founder by the Federal Investigation’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing, the decision was made.
According to sources, the federal cabinet will decide whether to take action against Khan, and the Ministry of Interior has been entrusted with putting together a report for this decision.
