Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, broke down in tears when he disclosed that he had received a letter from a fellow student who had gone to Maidwell Hall School in the 1970s and told him of his near-death experience at the school’s swimming pool at the time.
Spencer posted the letter’s language on X, his former Twitter account, writing, “It made me cry.”
He tweeted, “I received a letter yesterday from someone who went to Maidwell Hall School in the 1970s and told me about his near-death experience in the school pool at the hands of the sadistic Mr. Maude, as I remember in my memoir ‘A Very Private School.'”
According to the letter, “Dear Charles, I eventually finished reading your book.
“I just finished it, and I’m quietly taking in the information.”
