That was the condensed version of a question that Dumfries-based reader of the Money blog Donna Adams asked.
“In December, I thought I was being more ecologically conscious when I bought a new Candy heat pump dryer from AO instead of a less expensive condenser or vented dryer. After doing some research, I was happy to hear that AO and Candy said that the drying time was a “little longer.”
“Jump forward to February. After a little load took nine hours to dry and three cycles, I could take it no more and called Candy to address a “problem.” I was told that this was not unusual.
The engineer informed me he gets a lot of complaints about this model, but he couldn’t find any flaws. I brought it up with Candy and AO, but they say there is no fault, thus the matter is closed.”
First and foremost, he advises keeping in mind that your agreement is always with the retailer and not the manufacturer.
“You completed everything correctly. You did your homework and anticipated that the drying process might take a little longer,” he explains.
