LAHORE: Pakistani police have detained a lady who was found guilty of killing her 18-year-old daughter in Italy out of honor.
The suspect, Nazia Shaheen, was taken into custody in Kharian, according to a Punjab Police spokesman. According to a police official, she was charged with killing her daughter in Italy with her husband’s assistance.
The 51-year-old is being held in police custody in Islamabad while he awaits extradition, according to the Italian website Oggi. An Italian court condemned her to life in prison for ordering her daughter’s murder in 2021.
Nazia and her husband Shabbar Abbas left Italy after the murder, and they arrived in Pakistan on May 1, 2021.
She was remained at large even after her spouse was captured (earlier), according to the publication.
