With their 4-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 4 of the NLDS on Wednesday, the Mets advanced to the National League Championship Series.
Naturally, Francisco Lindor, who has been their MVP all season, scored all four runs on a grand slam. Some even think he should receive the NL vote over Shohei Ohtani.
However, Lindor ignited the party at Citi Field on Wednesday. Following the game, the former president’s daughter was unable to contain her excitement—she only needed nine characters.
On X, Trump wrote, “OMG! METS”.
Although the squad has been using “OMG” as a rallying cry since the summer, the interjection may have been made out of sheer joy. The same-titled song, which was recorded by Mets infielder Jose Iglesias, has become a beloved song among Mets supporters.
