Ivory Coast gave up just seven runs against Nigeria in Lagos on Sunday, falling to the lowest-ever total in a men’s T20 international.
After Nigeria began with 112 runs off 53 balls from Selim Salau, the hosts set a goal of 271.
At the Tafawa Balewa Oval, Ivory Coast lost by 264 runs with hardly a response. Ouattara Mohamed led the scoring with four runs, while six other batsmen were dismissed for ducks.
Dje Claude, Maiga Ibrahim, and Mimi Alex each contributed a single run to the total.
The score is the lowest in the men’s format, surpassing the previous record of 10 runs established by the Isle of Man in 2023 and Mongolia earlier this year.
