QUETTA: According to railway officials, the Jaffar Express resumed service on Thursday, transporting more than 400 passengers as it left Quetta Railway Station for Peshawar.
Since March 11, when a terrorist assault occurred in the Mach area of Kachhi, the train service has been suspended. With increased security in place, railway authorities have finally resumed operations.
Significant security measures have been put in place to guarantee the safety of both passengers and employees during the trip, according to the Divisional Superintendent (DS) Railways.
Around nine in the morning, the train left Quetta Railway Station, and it should arrive in Peshawar on time.
On March 11, militants from the banned Balochistan Liberation Army took control of the train in Balochistan. More than 400 travelers were captured.
