Jake Paul had been gone from his toughest fight for seven weeks, but now it was almost six months.
against July 20, Paul was supposed to take against Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium.
However, the fight was moved to November 15 because the former heavyweight champion experienced a medical emergency while in flight.
Paul gained up to 234 pounds by eating 5,000–7,000 calories a day in order to bulk up in order to compete with Tyson. Paul was even called “fat” by Tyson.Paul, 27, said, “I was pretty hefty,” in a recent interview with News .
He stated that he “felt good at that weight,” adding that his power was far more than it had been in his prior sub-200 matches. March 2nd, he fought at 199.
The runs, though, were terrible. I was really looking forward to the lengthy runs. I’ve lost 10 and 12 pounds already. This weight is definitely better,” Paul remarked.
I definitely just needed to regroup, take a few steps back, practice meditation, refocus, and find a new purpose in order to continue training and improving every day in order to reach my goal of becoming a world champion. Thus, more work remains to be done. It was much easy once I turned my attention back to it.
“I wanted this fight to happen, so I was obviously devastated and pretty unhappy. I’m just going to roll with the punches and concentrate on launching [his new men’s personal care line] W and all of our initiatives there.”
