The director of Titanic and Avatar, James Cameron, has explained why he will soon become a citizen of New Zealand.
After Donald Trump was elected to a second term in November 2024, the 70-year-old told NZ Stuff that he would soon become a citizen of New Zealand, saying it is “something I’ve worked toward, something I’ve had to sacrifice for.”
“I see a turn away from everything decent” under Trump’s administration, Cameron clarified.
If America doesn’t stand for what it has always stood for, then it is worthless. It turns into a phony concept, and I believe they’re destroying it as quickly as possible for their own gain,” he continued.
