Recently, James Van Der Beek talked candidly about the challenges of receiving a colon cancer diagnosis.
In an interview with Good Morning America, the 47-year-old actor acknowledged that his disease “felt like a nightmare.”
“I’m in excellent physical shape. “Emotionally, you know, it’s a lot,” James said, adding that he was feeling great. It’s quite an adventure.
The Dawson’s Creek star went on to say that upon receiving the news, he was at first “in shock.”
The Bad Hair star remembered, “I had a whole agenda for what I thought my year would be and what I thought my priorities would be.”
Furthermore, he stated, “At first, it felt like a nightmare to realize that all of that was going to change and take a different trajectory.”
