MULTAN: Renowned politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi stated late on Wednesday that police broke into his home and took his son-in-law, grandson, Qasim Hashmi, and housekeepers. Makhdoom Shahid Bahar Hashmi is a candidate supported by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Twenty Punjab Police officers, according to Javed Hashmi, encircled his “Makhdoom Rasheed” home at 1:00 in the morning and “illegally entered without a warrant,” breaching the house’s sanctity. The senior lawmaker claimed that the PTI workers’ convention was slated to take place in the home where the raid occurred.
He posted on his X account, “My son-in-law Shahid Bahar Hashmi and grandson Qasim Hashmi have been taken into illegal custody.” He stated, all the staff had been taken into custody.
He said that the officers broke down his doors to get inside his home.
