On September 28, Jay Cartmell was fatally injured in the head and face while on land close to Warcop, Cumbria.
He passed away in the hospital later that day.
At a brief hearing at Cockermouth Coroner’s Court in Cumbria, assistant coroner Dr. Nicholas Shaw opened the inquest into Jay’s death and then delayed it to give the police time to do their investigation.
After being detained at the site of the death on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter, a man in his 60s is currently out on bail.
According to Dr. Shaw, Jay, a resident of Frizington, Cumbria, was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for immediate medical attention before being.
According to brief facts that have been extensively covered by the media, Jay tragically died after being transported to Newcastle after suffering a significant injury during a shooting, a rabbit shooting expedition, and a suspected shotgun injury.
Investigators have begun looking into a person, maybe for gross negligence manslaughter. The police are currently in charge of conducting the investigation.
