This honor demonstrates JazzCash’s creative strategy, the first of its kind in the world, which allows more than 350,000 shops and merchants to take payments using contactless cards or smartphones by just tapping an Android device that supports NFC.
Any contactless device can be used to tap and make digital payments using JazzCash wallets thanks to its cooperation with Mastercard for the digital front-end. As Mastercard releases new solutions, this acceptance partnership also prepares JazzCash to provide future use cases. Aamir Ibrahim, the chairman of Mobilink Microfinance Bank and CEO of Jazz, received the award from J.K. Khalil, division president for East Arabia at Mastercard.
