Jelly Roll disclosed that he is unable to perform abroad because to his criminal history.
In an interview with Interview magazine, the 62-year-old rock legend lauded the 39-year-old country music artist for having a “unique sound” and inquired as to if he had “taken it overseas.”
Jelly Roll replied, “Not yet,” to Bon Jovi. “I can’t wait. We’re solving the last few legal enigmas so that I can travel abroad.”
He went on, “It’s odd, some nations won’t allow me come because of my felonies, but America has now consented to let me go and grant me a passport. We are addressing that. I believe it will go well for me.”
The two-time Grammy Award nominee stated his hope that the musician will be able to embark on an international tour and called certain nations’ policies prohibiting those with criminal records from entering their borders “archaic.”
“Entertainers should be able to go and do their job,” the “Wanted Dead or Alive” artist stated.
Jelly Roll, however, drew attention to the fact that she was a child from Antioch, Tennessee, and that her father had never left the Southeast until he was in his 50s.
