The 64-year-old claimed in his news column that after returning from vacation, he experienced “pins and needles” in his left arm, “clammy” feelings, and “tightness” in his chest.
According to Clarkson, host of the television show Clarkson’s Farm, he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and had a stent, which opens up clogged or constricted arteries, installed.
“I most definitely wasn’t experiencing a heart attack. However, I wouldn’t have been admitted to the hospital if it hadn’t appeared that way,” he claimed.
The Oxfordshire farmer explained how he had to “take a moment to make amends” while on vacation in the Indian Ocean.
All of these issues appeared in a single day, which allowed me to spend the remainder of my vacation lounging in a chair sipping wine and munching on cheese,” he said in his column.
However, the abrupt decline picked up speed back home,” he remarked. “I didn’t feel well when I got up on Wednesday morning. I felt clammy and my chest was constricted.
After he “ignored these things,” the former Top Gear host claimed to have “pins and needles in my left arm.”
After being transported to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he had examinations that included X-rays, blood tests, and an electrocardiogram (ECG), a heart attack was ruled out.
