In a historic move intended to improve education standards and allay the worries of female educators, Nasreen Abdullah has been named the Chief Officer (CO) of Education in Jhang.
With this appointment, a woman will hold this crucial role in the district’s education department for the first time in 24 years.
On Monday, Nasreen Abdullah formally assumed leadership of her new position, pledging to raise academic standards in all Jhang schools. Her appointment is viewed as a major advancement, especially in light of the district’s long-standing problems with female teachers.
“We will continue to raise the standard of instruction in our schools, and I’m dedicated to finding solutions to the grievances and issues that our female teachers face.”
