KARACHI: Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) reaffirmed on Monday that his party would not join any political coalition.
“Our alliance will be with the youth and the people,” Naeem declared as he addressed a gathering of JI office-bearers at Idara Noor-e-Haq in Karachi.
The JI leader stated, “There is no [real] democracy in political parties,” adding that the establishment helps the parties win elections.
The JI leader went on to say that there is “confusion” among political party members and that his party is unable to assist such parties. On August 28, the nation would observe a strike with a closed door, according to the JI chief.
