Recently, Jimmy Kimmel was open and made a lighthearted joke about Conan O’Brien, who was hosting the Oscars for the first time.
“Conan O’Brien did a great job as host of the Oscars,” the 57-year-old comedian and television host said on his ABC late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, March 3.
“I read today that Conan did such a good job, and the Oscars announced that they’re giving it to Jay Leno to host next year,” he continued.
Since O’Brien was a well-liked host of the Late Night Show on the same network and was promised The Tonight Show if he stayed, it was a reference to NBC when he was set to take over the show.
