Since its debut 15 years ago, The Joe Rogan Experience (abbreviated JRE) has amassed a sizable, primarily male audience, with 14.5 million Spotify followers and 17.5 million YouTube subscribers.
Trump called his rival “a nice guy” and said he expected a “very interesting” conversation with him, confirming media reports about the interview that will be taped on Friday.
“I perform a lot of shows,” he said on Wednesday on News Radio. “Good, bad, or neutral.” I perform frequently, and my shows are well received.
That reaction mocks the Trump campaign’s strategic use of podcasts, which are more popular among younger males than traditional media like 60 Minutes.
According to seasoned listeners, it also downplays how significant this could be for the former president.
According to conservative journalist and self-described JRE specialist Matthew Foldi, who has listened to Rogan’s complete archive for thousands of hours since 2020, in chronological order and at 3.5 times speed, the show is on the verge of being the most listened-to podcast in history.
