The United Rentals 300 for the Xfinity Series will take place at Daytona International Speedway prior to the start of the Daytona 500 on Sunday.
Josh Williams of Kaulig Racing is hoping to make an impression on Saturday in his first race as a member of his new team.
Previously, Williams raced for DGM Racing. “I just want to go fast, man, and they’re the team to do it with,” Williams said to News.
“I believe Kaulig Racing has everything we require. Learning these autos is perhaps the most important thing for me. They will be very different from the vehicles I previously drove. However, I believe that if I get the hang of it and figure out what the car needs to make speed, we’ll win a few races this year and rather quickly as well. It’s difficult. Racing is difficult. These days, winning in any series is difficult.”
Since he started competing in the Xfinity Series, the native of Port Charlotte, Florida, has never taken home the victory. However, he has 11 top-10 results, including three from the previous season.
Owner of Kaulig Racing Matt Kaulig is thrilled to have Williams compete for him. on Saturday for the first time. Williams has been performing well on his simulator, he told Fox News Digital, and he thinks he will have the best chance of winning now that he’s using their tools.
