ISLAMABAD: Yahya Afridi, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), has referred to the judicial transfers as a constitutional and constructive action, highlighting the need to induct additional judges from other provinces.
Addressing concerns regarding the relocation of justices from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Justice Afridi stated that Islamabad represents the Center during the Press Association’s oath-taking ceremony in Islamabad.
“We are sent to school to become gentlemen,” he added, adding that he had no issues with the transfers because they were carried out in accordance with the constitution.
He noted that a judge who speaks Sindhi and Balochi had joined the IHC, strengthening national integration, in reference to Article 200.
