ISLAMABAD According to The News on Monday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) discussed strengthening the platforms of the opposition parties.
According to reports, Salman Akram Raja, the secretary general of the PTI, and Asad Qaiser, the former speaker of the National Assembly, attended the meeting in the Parliament Lodges. The JUI-F was represented at the meeting by MNA Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and Senator Kamran Murtaza.
Raja informed the leaders of the JUI-F of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan’s call for solidarity against the government and for the rule of law and the Constitution to be supreme.
Prior to forming a grand coalition, Haideri and Murtaza outlined their chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s viewpoint and worries.
