In light of the proposed 26th Constitutional Amendment, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has vehemently disputed claims that a forward bloc is emerging within the party. The party has reiterated that all of its legislators will adhere to the party’s position on the issue.
The denial is in reaction to rumors that a group of four to five lawmakers inside the JUI-F had formed in relation to the planned 26th Constitutional Amendment.
It has been stated that these legislators support the proposed amendment’s judicial improvements.
According to the sources, these lawmakers thought the JUI-F ought to support the modification that was being offered.
Aslam Ghauri, a prominent leader of JUI-F and spokesperson, refuted the rumors in a Friday interview with News, saying: “There is no truth to the claims.”
