Hafiz Hamdullah, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), has stated unequivocally that his organization opposes the civil disobedience movement that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has suggested.
He reiterated that no decision has been reached to collaborate with PTI on any combined campaign while appearing on News’ “Capital Talk” show.
Hamdullah said that although politics does not allow for perfect certainty, the issue will be taken into consideration if PTI approaches JUI-F for a combined movement.
Hamdullah criticized PTI’s approach and cautioned that PTI will suffer the most from the civil disobedience action. In response to PTI leader Asad Qaiser’s assertions regarding continuous communication with Maulana Fazlur Rehman for a coordinated anti-government effort, he made these remarks.
Shaukat Yousafzai, the leader of the PTI, has threatened to launch a campaign of civil disobedience starting in December.
