Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Senator Kamran Murtaza has expressed concerns, claiming that the Center is headed for “destruction” amid rumors that the coalition partners are working on another constitutional revision.
The JUI-F chief made these comments three days after it was reported that the ruling coalition’s top leaders met in Lahore on October 27 to discuss the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
Speaking on Friday’s “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath” news show, Murtaza lamented the 26th Constitutional Amendment and cautioned against a second effort.
He claimed that the coalition partners will try again, referring directly to the 27th Amendment, but that it would fail just as badly as the first time.
He also discussed the rumored partnership between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the JUI-F.
