ISLAMABAD: Justice Ayesha Malik of the Supreme Court said Monday that he was perplexed as to how a chief justice by himself could be more successful than a group of justices.
Justice Ayesha asked, “How can a chief justice alone be better than three minds working together?”
She made the comments after she and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah objected strongly to the transfer of a case that was supposed to be heard by a three-judge panel.
As the three-member bench directed the SC office to fix the petitions regarding the benches’ jurisdictions following the 26th Amendment to the same bench that was already hearing it, the judges were considering a case pertaining to the transfer of cases between the constitutional and regular benches.
