KARACHI: In order to improve security, the Civil Aviation Officers Association of Pakistan (CAOP) has called on airport officials to reconsider the new security measures they recently implemented. Instead, they suggest implementing cutting-edge technology.
Authorities at the airport have requested that travelers bring extra documentation in the wake of a horrific attack on a Chinese convoy that killed at least two Chinese nationals and injured numerous others in the area. They have also blocked a road that leads to the airport and established checkpoints on other routes.
Airport officials have requested that anyone dropping off or picking up passengers show a copy of their ticket and their ID.
Concurrently, checkpoints have been positioned on the Model Colony to Jinnah Terminal road, and the road has been stopped.
