KARACHI: According to The News, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab stated on Thursday that Rs2.1 billion would be allocated to address urgent infrastructure problems in the Korangi Industrial Area (KIA).
Speaking to the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Wahab emphasized that in order to advance Karachi, the government and businesspeople must work together.
He noted that although the city’s water supply is unbroken in many areas, utility services are suffering financially as a result of sporadic bill payments.
He emphasized how the Sindh government is working to enhance water management by processing and recycling 500 million gallons of sewage water as part of a pilot project.
In order to address the infrastructure cess, he also urged talks with industrialists.
