Due to damage to its water infrastructure at several areas, Karachi is currently experiencing a serious water crisis. The Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has said that water supplies will soon be restored to all impacted regions after many neighborhoods have been without water for the last four days.
When a major pipeline was destroyed when the Red Line project was being built on University Road, the crisis started.
Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, PIB Colony, Liaquatabad, Ranchore Line, Old City Area, Saddar, Korangi, Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony, and Malir are among the neighborhoods that are impacted.
The repairs that KWSC has been working on to remedy the situation were supposed to be finished by Thursday night. But when water started to flow from a pipeline in Old Sabzi, things got complicated.
