People in Karachi were glad when it began to drizzle in various sections of the city on Friday evening, dropping the temperature down a few degrees after weeks of oppressive heat and high temperatures.
Drizzle was experienced in Gulistan-e-Johar, University Road, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal. On Friday night, there were additional light showers in Surjani Town, Scheme 33, Hawksbay, Baldia Town, Maripur, and Nazimabad.
After the showers, a meteorologist predicted that the city will see light rain and strong gusts for the next 24 hours.
The analyst claimed the precipitation resulted from rain-producing cloud leftovers from Balochistan that traveled to the city on western winds.
Additionally, the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) daily prediction indicated that isolated areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, were predicted to see windstorms, thunderstorms, and showers. The PMD statement made it clear that the majority of the nation is expected to have hot, dry weather on Saturday.
