KARACHI: In a big blow for the Karachi Kings, 13 players contracted food poisoning, sources close to the squad told Geo News on Thursday.
According to accounts, one of the players was transferred to a local hospital as his health worsened.
“The players did not become ill after ordering food from outside the hotel, as that was not permitted,” a team insider stated.
However, Karachi’s team management hopes to field a team for today’s encounter against the Quetta Gladiators at the National Bank Stadium.
Daniel Sams and James Vince both missed Karachi’s most recent encounter for the same reason.
