An extensive social media strategy for police personnel was laid out by Additional Inspector General (AIG) of police Javed Alam Odho in a letter addressed to concerned police officers of Karachi Range, including DIGs and SSPs.

According to the Karachi police chief, films that feature police vehicles, uniforms, or equipment must have prior approval and should only be uploaded through official channels.
Concerned offices and officers are prohibited from posting, disseminating, or participating in videos that denigrate people on the basis of their gender, ethnicity, caste, or religion.
