During a conference on rain emergency measures, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz warned Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah that heavy rains are expected in Karachi, a metropolis port city, from August 27 to August 31.
According to an official statement released by the Sindh CM House, Sarfaraz stated at the meeting presided over by the chief minister that the port city is anticipated to receive 150mm to 200mm of rainfall during the upcoming spell.

Notably, in addition to rain inundation in Karachi and other Sindhi metropolises, intense downpours are also expected to cause urban floods.Furthermore, a well-marked low-pressure region over central India has strengthened into a depression over Madhya Pradesh, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). This depression is predicted to move west-southwestward, possibly reaching eastern Sindh on the evening of August 26.
