The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that today’s highest temperature in Karachi will reach 41 degrees Celsius, continuing the city’s current trend of intense heat.
Although it is only 36 degrees Celsius outside, a 44 degree heat index is being felt.
The Met Office reports that the air’s humidity is 51%. This morning’s lowest temperature was 30.5 degrees.
The intense heat is predicted to last the entire day, according to meteorologists, therefore locals are advised to take the appropriate safety measures to avoid the searing heat.
PMD has stated that the city is experiencing 13 km/h winds coming from the northwest.
By tomorrow evening, sea breezes should be returning to Karachi.
There’s also a chance that Karachi’s temperatures will gradually drop beginning tomorrow.
