KARACHI: Residents of Karachi should prepare themselves for another round of rain and make the necessary preparations as the port city is predicted to be struck by downpours by the end of this week due to a westerly system of winds that is expected to enter the country on February 25.
According to weather specialist Jawad Memon, this system is likely to bring showers to Sindh and Balochistan. He also predicted that Karachi would receive rain as a result of this rain-producing system.
Memon stated that the system is likely to remain operational until February 27.
It should be recalled that torrential downpours coupled with thunder and lightning wreaked havoc in the city earlier this month, as rainfall mixed with sewage overflowing from congested lines.
