QUETTA, KARACHI: Residents of Karachi woke up to a cold Sunday morning, with temperatures in the port city plummeting by several degrees, suggesting that winter had officially arrived.
The minimum temperature in the capital city of Sindh was 12.7°C for the last 24 hours and is currently at 13°C, with the mercury dipping two degrees Celsius from the previous two days.
The city’s maximum temperature is predicted to be 29°C due to northeasterly winds blowing at seven kilometers per hour, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winter has also arrived in Balochistan, as evidenced by the -2°C temperature recorded in Quetta, the provincial capital.
