On Tuesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a hot and muggy weather forecast for Karachi today.
According to the Met Office, the city’s maximum temperature is predicted to reach 37 degrees Celsius, but it may feel closer to 40 or 42 degrees.
The meteorological department states that “the intensity of heat will be felt more because of the high humidity in the air, which is currently 61%.”
It stated that light breezes were coming from the west. The Met Office stated that there was no probability of rain, therefore the sky will stay entirely clear.
The PMD had forecasted a continuous heat wave for Karachi this week just a day before. According to the Met, Karachiites sizzled in the intense heat on Monday as the temperature reached 36°C.
