Today, Kashmiris across the globe and on both sides of the Line of Control are commemorating India’s 78th Independence Day as Black Day in opposition to New Delhi’s unlawful takeover of their motherland.
Leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), who are incarcerated in Tihar Jail in New Delhi, have called on Kashmiris to strongly protest India’s occupation and demand their fundamental right to self-determination.
They have urged the international community to put pressure on India to allow Kashmiris to exercise their right to self-determination through their remarks.
The leaders reaffirmed Kashmiris’ determination to see their protracted demand for a plebiscite through to its rightful conclusion.
“It is neither morally nor legally acceptable for India to celebrate its independence in occupied Kashmir. The occupation of Kashmir by India is obviously illegal.
